Douglas County Honors All Makes for 100 Years in Business

Douglas CountyOn August 28, All Makes fourth-generation co-owners Amee Zetzman and Jeff Kavich, and third-generation owner Larry Kavich, joined the Douglas County Board of Commissioners as it recognized All Makes for 100 years in business at the Douglas County Courthouse.

A resolution is an administrative action taken by the Board of Commissioners to agree to county business and transactions. It may issued to express the Board’s policy, direct administrative or legal action or to make a public statement from the Board.

P.J. Morgan, 4th district Commissioner, opened the resolution.

“It gives me a great pleasure to do this having been associated with Lazier Kavich and Ruth, and the family for a long while, and their service and contribution to the community,” Morgan said. “I just want to thank them for the service and contribution they’ve made in our city, county, state and the Midwest area. I know Jeff and Amee are going to continue that great tradition.

“I’m very appreciative of your 2558 Farnam location, what you’ve done there and that contribution also to our community.”

Other Board members, many of whom have known several generations of the Kavich family, chimed in to express their appreciation, as well.

Commissioner Mike Boyle, District 1 said, “I read this resolution with a great deal of happiness. You have worked hard to succeed and you’re just such a shining example of how hard work pays off.”

“I too am appreciative of your contributions. I’ve known Larry since high school, and I would just like to thank you for your office makeover. This year the recipient was the Autism Center of Nebraska, of which I’m a board member and, boy, it came at a good time,” said Commissioner Marc Kraft, District 5.
